Hi Richmond,
One possibility I see no one has yet mentioned:
When my network starts misbehaving, I often start the troubleshooting
process by unplugging the router, waiting a few seconds, then plugging
it back in. The effect is usually quite restorative! Just a
shot-in-the-dark thought.
